My name is Rebecca and I am a licensed FNP in Oregon. My plan is to obtain licensing in other states in the near future. My goal is to provide functional medicine to those who are tired of the traditional primary care model (not identifying/treating the underlying health issues, leaving patients feeling unwell and frustrated, while continuing to push more chronic and expensive medications at the symptoms or side effects of current medications. My experience as a patient the past two decades far exceeds my education and work experience, however it has been the most valuable of it all because of the insight, empathy, and determination it has given me through my years of school and work settings. I have been the patient shamed of weight, physical limitations, left to fight and find answers to what is going on with my own health and advocate for my health needs. I have unfortunately also learned a lot about how to protect myself as an employee and student around such issues.
